General information:

The brightness is also known as the parakeetScarlet-fronted parakeet, orange-throat and the wonderful Parrot Parrot. This species is endemic to Australia.

Description:

It is about 8 cm long and weighs about 40 g. The male has a green top with a head of bright blue and scarlet chest, abdomen and yellow. The female is distinguished from the male to the lighter blue color of the face and chest green. The female resembles the female Scarlet-chested Parrot Turquoise Parrot buthas more blue in the face. Young women seem similar but have duller plumage. This parrot has a number of mutations, including par blue, sea green and white chest.

Food:

Scarlet-chested parrot eats seeds of grasses, herbaceous plants, fruits, flowers and flower buds, and perhaps insects.

Habitat:

This type comes in a variety of dry areas, arid inland Australia. Its habitat is mallee, mulga, openCasuarinas and eucalyptus forest-dominant. The gloss parakeet has a range that extends throughout the interior of southern Australia, and includes portions of Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland e.
